Bodies of two cliff jumpers were pulled out of a Minnesota lake Sunday, June 25, authorities say.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said the two cliff jumpers were seen struggling at Black Beach in Silver Bay around 1:30 p.m. Multiple search and rescue teams and the U.S. Coast Guard were sent to the lake to help find the missing men, according to the sheriff.

Nearly five hours later, the body of one of the cliff jumpers was pulled out of the water, the sheriff’s office said. The second man’s body was discovered more than an hour later.

The identities of the victims have not been publicly disclosed. They are both 18 years old, police told Fox 21.

Black Beach is on the shore of Lake Superior in northeast Minnesota.
