Sliced crimini mushrooms recalled in Washington state

If you bought sliced crimini mushrooms at the store, check this recall notice before eating them.

Eight-ounce packages of Champ’s sliced crimini mushrooms sold in Washington and Oregon have been recalled by the company because of possible listeria contamination.

While there have been no reported illnesses linked to the mushrooms, people are advised not to eat them.

The affected mushroom were distributed to stores June 13 and 14, and have a shelf life of about 10 days.

Crews with the Pacific Whale Watching Association say four orca calves born since Dec. 30 have been spotted almost daily from the San Juan Islands to Vancouver Island this month and appear to be happy and healthy.
