Salish Sea Science Festival helps raise money for fourth-grade field trip

About 100 people attended the Salish Sea Science Festival,

The vent was held Sunday, Jan. 25 at Bellingham High School.

About 15 agencies had interactive displays aimed toward educating the community about environmental stewardship. The documentary called “ The Whale,” narrated by Ryan Reynolds about an orca separated from its pod in Nootka Sound on Vancouver Island, also was shown.

The Bellingham Public Schools Foundation accepted donations to support the Salish Sea Experience, a fourth grade field trip to San Juan Island.
