How to waste the next 10 minutes at work

Ever wanted to visit the top of the Washington Monument? The National Parks Service has partnered with EarthCam to install a webcam from inside the top of monument, 500 feet above the ground.

You can find the new webcam at http://www.earthcam.com/usa/dc/washingtonmonument. The camera gives a view of the World War II Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool.

That got us thinking, though. Could you also look out from the balcony atop the Statue of Liberty? What about Mount Rushmore?

Or what if you're just longing (*sigh*) for a Hawaii vacation, here's a livestream from Kauai.

Of course, we'd be remiss if we did not point out the webcam atop the Herald Building, which is aimed to the Northwest and shows the southern tip of Lummi Island on the left and an occasional awesome sunset. We've also included some links on this page for webcams around the state.
