Comcast service out for several hours Friday morning in Whatcom County

A Comcast outage from Bellingham to the Canadian border left hundreds of customers without TV, Internet or home telephone service for several hours Friday morning, Sept. 19.

Comcast had repaired the problem by 8 a.m.

More than 100 customers began reporting the outage, which affected all of Whatcom County north of Bellingham, at about 5 a.m. Also affected was 911 service for customers who had home phone service through Comcast, but people still could call 911 on cell phones.
