Bellingham Herald's iPhone app not working with latest Apple upgrade

If you use an iPhone app to access the latest news, business and sports stories from The Bellingham Herald, please be advised that a recent Apple update is temporarily incompatible with our app, causing the app to either crash or lock up.

Apple's minor update, released as iOS 7.0.3, was not made available to developers ahead of its release, which meant that we couldn't detect a bug in the code. Our app developers have fixed the bug and are releasing an update to the Apple app store Thursday, Oct. 24.

However, because Apple reviews all updates, the fix likely will not appear in the app store until next week.

In the meantime, you can still read The Bellingham Herald on your phone by going to m.bellinghamherald.com.

Users who have not yet upgraded their iPhones to iOS 7.0.3 will continue to get news from our iPhone app.
