Drivers needed to take veterans to Seattle medical center

Volunteers are needed to drive Whatcom County service veterans to medical appointments at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Seattle.

The volunteers must be licensed drivers who pass a background check and a physical.

Drivers are asked to drive a van two times a month, departing at 6:15 a.m. from Best Western Plus Lakeway Inn in Bellingham and returning the same day about 3 p.m. Drivers receive a voucher for breakfast or lunch at the Medical Center’s cafeteria.
