A Blaine man was struck by a car while walking along Highway 536 at about 10:40 p.m. Thursday, April 14, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Trelawney E. Babcock, 48, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was in intensive care in serious condition late Friday morning, according to Harborview spokeswoman Susan Gregg.
Babcock was walking in the eastbound lane of 536 (Memorial Highway) near Bennett Road when he was struck by a silver 2002 Toyota Avalon. Elizabeth Kay Rogers, 44, from Mount Vernon, was driving the car.
Babcock was wearing dark clothing, according to state patrol.

Rogers was released at the scene without any injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
No charges were filed, and drugs and alcohol were not involved, according to state patrol. The crash is still under investigation.
