Suspects’ photos released in Ferndale motel robbery, business burglaries
Ferndale police released still photos Thursday, Jan. 21, of six suspects in two separate felony cases.
Robbery Jan. 14
Two men forced their way into a hotel room armed with bear spray and a gun, and robbed the occupants on Jan. 14 in the 5700 block of Barrett Road, according to a press release posted on the City of Ferndale’s website.
Security cameras captured images of the suspects: one man dressed in a black Fox Racing sweatshirt and a red bandana; the other wearing what looks like a hooded black jacket, a camouflage beanie and bright green gloves.
Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the men.
Burglary Dec. 25
Police in Ferndale also released photos of four suspects linked to a Christmas Day burglary.
Officers responded to burglaries of two businesses in the 6000 block of Portal Way where back doors were kicked in. An alarm deterred the burglar, or burglars, at one business, but several things were stolen from the other business, including a credit card.
Since then, security footage has captured images of four people who used the stolen credit card. The city released still photos of those suspects.
Two of them — a man in a gray sweatshirt and a woman with tall boots — had been identified as of Thursday, according to the city.
No other information about either case has been released.
