Two men in custody following death of Bellingham man in southern Oregon
Oregon State Police recently arrested two Oregon men as part of an investigation into the death of Robert T. Hein, 47, of Bellingham, whose death has been ruled a homicide.
An OSP SWAT team served a warrant Sept. 25 at a rural property in Klamath County, Ore. and took the two men into custody, according to an OSP news release.
A hunter reported finding a deceased person Sept. 23 — later identified as Hein — in a wooded area near Sprague River in south-central Oregon. The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office responded and determined the victim had died as a result of homicide, according to the release.
OSP reports Russell Dwayne Carroway, 38, and Devin Tyler Pellerin, 31, both of Sprague River, were arrested and charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse. Both are currently in custody at the Klamath County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing, and OSP provided no additional details.
