Bellingham traffic stop yields 22 pounds of cocaine with Marvel-ous packaging

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle Sept. 16 containing 10 kilograms (22 pounds) of cocaine, according to a news release from the department.

Deputies stopped the vehicle in the 4000 block of Eliza Avenue in Bellingham. The two occupants gave inconsistent information to deputies, who obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, the release states.

The search revealed cocaine, along with a firearm and cash. The cocaine was packaged with an image of the Marvel movie character Thor, according to the release.

The Sheriff’s Office announced no arrests and released no additional details.
