Bellingham police arrest suspect in Alabama Street hit and run

The Bellingham Police Department announced Friday afternoon that they have arrested a suspect in a hit-and-run incident earlier in the day.

Authorities on Friday morning requested the public’s help in locating a vehicle involved in the incident, which sent a bicyclist to the emergency room, according to a BPD social media post.

The vehicle is a ‘90s black Ford truck with a two-tone pinstripes, according to BPD. It was last seen heading south on Orleans Street from Alabama Street, according to the post.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22 in the 800 block of Alabama Street.

Anyone with information regarding the vehicle is asked to call 911.
