Lynden police arrested a man who is suspected of burning down a co-worker’s recreational vehicle.

A witness told authorities the suspect entered an RV that is owned by a co-worker with whom the suspect has a long-standing dispute, according to Chief Steve Talyor with the Lynden Police Department.

The suspect entered the vehicle around 8:13 p.m. April 16 at 841 East Badger Road.

The suspect then started throwing items from the RV out of the vehicle and onto the ground. The witness also reported seeing the pile of belongings and the RV both on fire. No injuries were reported.

Police arrested the suspect, a 35-year-old man, on April 23 on suspicion of first-degree arson and residential burglary. He remains in custody at Whatcom County Jail.
