ICE Enforcement announces man with suspected ties to terrorism arrested in Whatcom County

A man with suspected terrorist connections who entered the United States illegally was taken into custody in Whatcom County and returned back to his home country of Jordan.

The 41-year-old man was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol near Lynden after entering the country without being admitted, inspected or paroled by a U.S. immigration official, according to a Wednesday news release from ICE Enforcement Removal Operations.

No details regarding where or when the suspect was arrested or his suspected ties to terrorist organizations have been provided.
