Ferndale police say the involved vehicle is believed to be a 2015 Ford F-150, dark in color, with damage to the passenger side and passenger side mirror. The incident occurred around 5:26 a.m. Jan. 1 in the 1500 block of Main Street in Ferndale. The vehicle was last seen traveling west on Main Street near Interstate 5.

The Ferndale Police Department is investigating the incident as a hit and run and is asking anyone with information to contact the department at contact@ferndalepd.org or 360-384-3390 and reference case number 24F00007.

The Chochran’s mother, Dana Cochran, posted on the social media website Nextdoor that her son is still recovering from his injuries and may have lifelong impairments.

“The more people who are aware is really the only chance of finding the person who hit him,” Dana Cochran said Wednesday.
