A woman is in custody after assaulting multiple people in the 400 block of York Street in Bellingham, according to Megan Peters with the Bellingham Police Department

A group of four people told police a woman, who was later identified as Rain Jasmine Forever, had assaulted them. According to reports, one was struck on the back of the head; one had a purse taken by Forever, who used it to hit the person while verbally threatening them; a third was hit in the face, which broke a pair of glasses; and the fourth person was also hit with the bag and threatened.

The incident took place around 2:18 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27.

Police said during interviews, Forever walked out of an apartment building and was identified by the four people. Despite police telling her she was not allowed to leave, Forever walked back into the apartment. Police followed her and took her into custody while she was attempting to resist.

Probable cause exists for four counts of fourth-degree assault, third-degree malicious mischief, and obstruction of law enforcement. She was booked and released from Whatcom County Jail.

Police provided no potential motive for the assaults.
