Fire at Bellingham Ford on James Street damages 7 vehicles, police said

A fire at Bellingham Ford and Lincoln damaged seven vehicles on the lot, police said.

The fire started around 2 a.m. Friday and the cause is under investigation.

Officers responded to find a single-vehicle fully engulfed in flame, and called the fire department. This vehicle was completely destroyed, and fire severely damaged three vehicles next to it. Another three vehicles received moderate damage. Damage is estimated at $62,000 according to L.t. Claudia Murphy with the Bellingham Police Department.

There were no injuries reported.

Other details were not immediately available, including whether arson was involved.
