Deputies arrest fugitive on outstanding warrant who escaped to Point Roberts

Whatcom County sheriff’s deputies arrested a fugitive wanted on an outstanding warrant who was located Thursday at Point Roberts.

Anthony D. Medina, 38, was wanted out of Snohomish County for second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, tampering with a witness and three counts of a no-contact order violation, all related to domestic violence, according to Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Deb Slater.

Slater said Medina was living in Point Roberts.

Medina was taken into custody by a Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit and transported to Blaine. He was then taken to Snohomish County Jail where he remains in custody with a $100,000 bail.
