Stolen Jeep used to rip out this ATM. Whatcom deputies are looking for the thieves

Two thieves used a stolen Jeep and a tow strap to pull an ATM out of a store, then used the Jeep to repeatedly ram the ATM before leaving, according to a Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.

The incident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the 8800 block of Blaine Road, south of Blaine.

The incident was caught on surveillance camera, and the Sheriff’s Office has posted photos of the stolen vehicle and the two thieves. The Jeep was stolen from Bellingham earlier that day and was found by Sheriff’s K-9s in the woods nearby, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Law enforcement is looking for any information about the incident and are asking people to contact the tip line at 360-778-6663, the case number is 23A01773.
