Whatcom man allegedly sexually assaults two young boys

Ferndale police suspect a man sexually assaulted two young boys that were known to him after one of the boys reported the incidents.

Alexander Eugene Ross, 46, was booked into Whatcom County Jail on suspicion of first-degree child molestation.

Officers were advised that one of the victims, who were both younger than 5, reported the sexual assaults, city spokesperson Riley Sweeney told The Bellingham Herald in an email.

It was also reported that Ross had sexually assaulted the other boy, Sweeney reported.

Statements and evidence supported the accusations, according to Sweeney, and Ross was arrested.
