Whatcom County man suspected of raping a woman he knows
A 45-year-old Blaine man is suspected of sexually assaulting an adult woman he knows.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office booked Timothy James Reilly Wednesday, Sept. 16, into Whatcom County jail on suspicion of second-degree rape (domestic violence).
Deputies responded at approximately 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, to St. Joseph hospital, where the victim had a sexual assault kit completed, sheriff’s office spokesperson Deb Slater told The Bellingham Herald in an email.
Further investigation developed probable cause that Reilly had raped the woman, Slater reported, and Reilly was arrested by deputies without incident on Wednesday.
