Woman arrested after head-on motorcycle crash leaves Bellingham man hospitalized
A Lake Stevens woman was arrested Saturday, Aug. 22, after a head-on crash with a motorcycle left a Bellingham man in the hospital, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Miranda Ziesing, 20, was driving northwest on Marine Drive in Bellingham around 4:07 p.m. in a Honda CR-V when she crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Suzuki GSX 750, according to the release.
The Suzuki driver, a 54-year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries and his condition is unknown. Ziesing continued driving north on the road and eventually stopped in a driveway.
Ziesing was arrested and charged with vehicular assault after it was found that she was under the influence. She is being held without bail at the Whatcom County Jail.
