Bellingham police seek man suspected of touching teen girl at Bloedel Donovan

Bellingham Police have asked for help identifying a man they have called a “person of interest” in an incident Saturday afternoon at Bloedel Donovan Park where a teenage girl allegedly was inappropriately touched.

The incident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on June 18, according to a Facebook post Wednesday evening by the department, in which it released a sketch of the man it is hoping to identify.

The man was described as being in his 40s, 6-feet tall with short, dark hair and was balding on top. He was reportedly wearing board short-length swim trucks and was seen on the dock and in the water swimming.

Lt. Claudia Murphy told The Bellingham Herald that no other information about the incident would be released at this time.
