Bellingham police seek man who allegedly exposed himself to a group of protesters

Bellingham police are searching for a white man in his 20s with long, curly brown hair after he allegedly exposed himself to a group of protesters, including a minor, Thursday evening.

At approximately 9:10 p.m. Feb. 27, officers were called to the 1500 block of Ellis Street for the report of a man exposing himself to several people standing on the sidewalk protesting, Lt. Claudia Murphy told The Bellingham Herald in an email.

Murphy’s report did not include what the protest was for, but the Planned Parenthood Bellingham Health Center is located at 1530 Ellis St.

At least three people, including one under the age of 18, reported that they witnessed the indecent exposure, according to Murphy.

One of the victims told police that a black Nissan 240SX pulled up next to the group and a passenger in the vehicle exposed himself.

Police are inspecting surveillance video in the area to see if they can determine the Nissan’s license plate, Murphy reported.
