‘Thousands’ of child porn images allegedly found on Bellingham man’s computer
Bellingham police arrested a man after he took a computer for repairs and “thousands” of photos of children involved in sexually explicit conduct reportedly were found on his hard drive.
Benjamin Thomas Corn, 47, was booked Thursday, Dec. 12, on suspicion of possession and viewing of pornography depicting minors, and jail records show he was released the same day on personal recognizance.
Corn changed his name from Benjamin Klix between the time Bellingham police began investigating him in April and his arrest Thursday, Lt. Claudia Murphy told The Bellingham Herald.
In April, Corn took his computer in for repairs, but before the computer was returned, the sexually explicit photos were discovered, Murphy said. The investigation reportedly showed that Corn owned the computer and was the person viewing the images.
Investigators found thousands of explicit photos involving children on the hard drive, Murphy said, and Corn turned himself for arrest on Thursday after police established probable cause.
