A 12-year-old Shuksan Middle School student has been arrested on suspicion of reckless endangerment for allegedly shooting an Airsoft BB gun toward another student at school on Monday, Bellingham Police Lt. Danette Beckley said.
The incident was reported at 1:18 p.m. Monday.
“There were no threats of violence to the school or the student,” Beckley said, adding that no one was hurt.
Still, the 12-year-old was referred to Juvenile Court because he “recklessly engaged in conduct creating substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person by shooting the Airsoft gun at a person,” Beckley said.
