A body was found in Baker Lake on Friday afternoon, July 29, but the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office cannot confirm it’s the fisherman who went missing there earlier this month.
Boaters on the lake reported the body at about 1 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office. It was floating about 100 feet from the north end of the lake. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene, along with personnel from the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office and the Forest Service.
Additional information was not made immediately available Friday.
The body’s discovery comes more than two weeks after Glen Richardson, 49, from Bellingham, was reported missing near the north end of the lake. Richardson went out to fish on the lake at about 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13. Another fisherman reported seeing Richardson about 15 minutes later.
