Volunteers needed to help homeless at one-day event in Bellingham
Organizers of the eighth annual effort to provide free services to the homeless are seeking volunteers for the Friday, July 22, event at Bellingham High School.
Volunteers are needed for check-ins, to guide people to services and to serve lunch, among other assignments.
About 30 volunteers also are needed Thursday, July 21, to help set up the event.
Some volunteer positions will require a brief training prior to the event. Services offered during Project Homeless Connect will be confidential.
