Three streets around Ferndale High School will be closed starting Wednesday, June 15, as the city begins a road-improvement project expected to last into the fall.
Washington Street between Vista Drive and Third Avenue will be closed to through traffic, along with Shuksan Street and Golden Eagle Drive, starting 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to the city. Local traffic will be allowed in and out of homes and businesses.
The closures include nights and weekends.

Classes for Ferndale High School’s spring semester ended Friday, June 10.
The work is expected to last at least until September, the city said, but the closure period depends on weather.
