An open house Wednesday, June 8, will go over proposed changes to the Slater Road area near Interstate 5 to help alleviate congestion.
The event will be held from 1-5 p.m. with a public presentation starting at 2. It’s being hosted by the Lummi Nation at the Te’Ti’Sen Gateway Center at 4920 Rural Ave.
The presentation will have an overview of the project and show the pros and cons of the three alternatives, according to a news release. The Washington state legislature has placed $21 million in the transportation budget to fund the improvements, which are expected to begin in 2019.
