The Birch Bay Waterslides will open for the season Saturday, June 4, later than its usual Memorial Day weekend opening.

Slide-unfriendly weather on Saturday and Sunday, May 28 and 29, plus time needed for staff training delayed the opening, according to the business’ website.

The water slides will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through June 26. Then the park will be open daily through the summer.

The park, at 4874 Birch Bay-Lynden Road, features nine slides, a pool, a kiddie pool, a hot tub, concessions, and access to Birch Bay Pizza. Outside food is allowed, but there are several restrictions, including no coolers, glass or alcohol and no fast food or pizza.

Ticket package deals are still available through Friday, June 3. A 10-ticket package is $135 or get five tickets for $75 (tax not included). Season passes also are available. Go to birchbaywaterslides.net for information and purchases.
