The lineup of movies and entertainment has been announced for the popular Fairhaven Outdoor Cinema, which features a 30-foot screen at the Village Green on summer Saturday evenings in the historic Bellingham shopping district.

Opening the series’ 17th season on June 25 is the 1999 teen rom-com “10 Things I Hate About You,” a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” starring Julia Stiles, Heath Ledger and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Much of the film was shot in Seattle and Tacoma.

Its traditional finale is Rob Reiner’s classic 1987 fantasy “The Princess Bride.”

Events are rain or shine and start at dusk with seating on the grass (bring a blanket) and limited seating on the surrounding brick areas for folding chairs. Admission is $5, free for age 5 and younger. Hot food and snacks will be available for sale. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.
