Whatcom County residents can get help on electric bills
The Opportunity Council is booking appointments beginning Saturday, April 2, for Whatcom County residents who need help paying their Puget Sound Energy electric bills.
Call 360-255-2192 to book appointments for the PSE Home Energy Lifeline Program, which provides grants. Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis. Call Saturday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Scheduling will remain open the following week during normal operating hours until all available appointments have been filled. For more information, call 360-255-2192 or 1-888-586-7293 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The council is a nonprofit agency that provides services, including emergency and transitional housing, energy assistance, early childhood education and child-care resources.
