Bellingham senior center hosts food and fitness fair March 30
A free health and wellness fair with presentations and cooking and fitness demonstrations will run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Bellingham Senior Activity Center, 315 Halleck St.
The event, called “What’s Next? A Healthier You! Finding Balance with Food, Fitness and Fun!” is hosted by the Meals On Wheels and More Program and the center.
Activities include a talk by dietitian Linda Banks, a presentation on “Kitchen Tips for Joint Protection and Energy Conservation” by occupational therapist Karen Thomas, and a talk on “Healthy Cooking with Common Cents!” by dietitian Carol Simmer and nutritionist Susy Hymas. Fitness demonstrations include balance and bone health, Zumba, and Senior Trailblazers.
Lunch, for a suggested $5 donation, will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is welcome.
