Nonprofits sought to operate booths at Northwest Washington Fair
Local nonprofit organizations are being sought to operate food booths at the annual Northwest Washington Fair, which is Aug. 15-20 this year.
Such opportunities for booths rarely come available, said fair General Manager Jim Baron. Booth sites are prized because the fair draws some 200,000 visitors annually.
Baron said local nonprofits such as the Lynden PTA, Mount Baker Toppers, Friends of Lynden Christian and Nooksack Valley Band Boosters have raised more than $2 million over the past five years.
Organizations interested in operating a food booth or other fundraising efforts should call Linda Barsalou at 360-354-4111 or go online to nwwafair.com.
