A traditional Irish meal of corned beef and cabbage will be served Saturday, March 12, to raise money for the Meals on Wheels and More program that provides meals at senior centers and to homebound seniors.
The Irish meal will be served from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bellingham Senior Activity Center, 315 Halleck St. The benefit also will include beer, raffle prizes, and music by Maggie’s Fury, a local Celtic band.
Tickets are $15 advance, $20 at the door, and include one drink. Kids 12 and under cost $7. Advance tickets are at the center, Community Food Co-Op, Village Books, and brownpapertickets.com.
Meals on Wheels and More supports older adults in Whatcom and San Juan counties by delivering meals to homebound adults age 60 and older, serving senior meals at community centers and senior housing, and providing nutrition education and nutrition case management.
