Wind gusts up to 50 mph are expected across parts of Western Washington on Tuesday, March 1, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a wind advisory.
The advisory, issued for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, calls for southerly winds 20 to 30 mph with much stronger gusts that could break loose tree limbs and cause power outages. The winds are expected across western Whatcom and Skagit counties and along the Washington coastline.
The wind gusts also could make it difficult for those driving tall vehicles, the weather service noted.
