Bellingham workshop for parents who split custody set for March 5

A workshop to help divorced, separated or never married parents build skills to manage emotions and communicate effectively will be held Saturday, March 5.

Registration is required for the workshop, which is meant to help reduce co-parenting conflicts. Participants will learn how to identify stresses and triggers, manage anger, use a variety of conflict strategies, and develop healthy communication techniques.

The Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center is able to offer the workshop for just $10 because of a grant from the state Department of Social and Human Services.

To register or for more information, go to whatcomdrc.org, call 360-676-0122 or email wdrc@whatcomdrc.org. The workshop will be held at the WDRC office at 13 Prospect St., Suite 201.

The same workshop will be offered again on June 25 and Sept. 17.
