Officials identify Ferndale man killed in Montana crash

Cascade County officials have released the name of a 25-year-old Ferndale, Wash., man who died in a weekend rollover crash in central Montana.

Sheriff’s Lt. Bob Rosipal said Andrew James Davis of Ferndale died of injuries suffered in the crash early Sunday near Belt.

The Montana Highway Patrol says Davis was eastbound on U.S. Highway 87/89 when his pickup truck drifted onto the shoulder of the road. He overcorrected to the left, causing the vehicle to skid across the road. He turned again, and the truck went into the ditch. The truck hit and uprooted a tree and rolled several times.

Davis was thrown from the pickup, which came to rest on its roof.

The patrol is still investigating the crash.
