What’s closed Monday in Whatcom County for Presidents Day
Government offices and schools will be closed Monday, Feb. 15, in observance of Presidents Day.
Grocery stores, Bellis Fair mall, most retail stores and restaurants will be open.
Here is the status of some offices and services Monday:
Whatcom County and city of Bellingham offices: Closed.
Bellingham parking meters: Not enforced.
Whatcom County Library and bookmobile: Closed.
Bellingham Public Library: Closed.
Northwest Regional Council: Closed.
Banks: Most are closed.
Postal Service: No mail delivery.
Garbage service: SSC and Nooksack Valley Disposal have regular pickup schedule, but trucks may be earlier than usual so put out trash the night before. SSC offices and the Bellingham Recycling Center/Transfer Station on F Street will be closed Monday.
Public schools: Closed.
Western Washington University, Whatcom Community College, Bellingham Technical College, Northwest Indian College: Closed. No classes at WCC on Tuesday, Feb. 16; college closed for professional development day.
Whatcom Transportation Authority: Buses operating on regular schedule.
Movie theaters: Open.
The Bellingham Herald: Offices closed; regular newspaper delivery.
Boys & Girls Clubs: Closed.
Opportunity Council: Closed.
