Mount Baker Highway likely will be down to one lane east of Kendall from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8.
Utility crews plan to remove trees between mileposts 23 and 25 in preparation for a culvert replacement the Washington State Department of Transportation plans to do this summer, said Marquis Allen, WSDOT spokesman.
Flaggers will control traffic.
Sporadic work is planned between now and June 1, as utility lines are moved farther from the highway to make room for the upgraded fish passage.
