A free program about housing options for senior citizens will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Bellingham Senior Activity Center, 315 Halleck St.
A panel of experts will explain the differences between aging in place, in-home care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, adult family homes, independent living, and assisted living. There also will be presentations on the “village concept” for seniors, home modifications, durable medicare equipment, family caregiving, and community living.
Community groups will attend to explain their services, including Circle of Life Caregiver Cooperative, Alderwood Park, Highgate Senior Living, and Right At Home.
