Bellingham cold-weather shelters open Thursday, Friday nights
Cold-weather shelters will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas night as temperatures are expected to dip into the 20s at night.
Shelters open at 5:30 p.m., offering food and shelter. They are run by the Interfaith Coalition in partnership with the Lighthouse Mission.
The men’s shelter is at the Lighthouse Mission Drop-In Center, 1013 W. Holly St.
The women and children’s shelter has a new location these two nights, in the Lighthouse Mission chapel, 910 W. Holly St.
The forecast calls for temperatures warming significantly on Saturday. People can always call the shelter hotline, 360-788-7983, to check the shelter status.
