Fundraiser list: Cole Anderson performs Jan. 2 in Bellingham

7 pm. First Congregational Church, 2401 Cornwall Ave. Suggested donation for adults is $15, which will go to Bellingham Festival of Music’s Music in the Schools programs. The Bellingham Festival of Music will present pianist Cole Anderson in its sixth annual Welcome Home concert. Anderson will play Gershwin transcriptions, arrangements of Percy Grainger, and a new work by John Luther Adams among other pieces. No tickets are necessary; donations can be made at the door. Relay for Life of Whatcom County Kickoff Celebration

6 p.m., Bellingham Cruise Terminal, 355 Harris Ave. Free. The Relay For Life of Whatcom County, a fundraising event for the American Cancer Society, will have a kickoff celebration to launch its fundraising efforts and celebrate another year of Relay For Life in Bellingham. The meeting will feature speakers from the community who have survived cancer as well as information on the work that the American Cancer Society does. This also will be an opportunity to learn more about the Relay and for survivors and teams to register to participate. There also will be a silent auction.
