Kevin DallaSanta Concert:

3 p.m. Jansen Art Center, 321 Front St., Lynden, 360-354-3600, $15 general, $12 students and seniors; Kevin DallaSanta has performed as a pianist at the Jansen Art Center, the Lynden Music Festival, and numerous places around the community. This concert benefits Project Hope, a Lynden food bank. DallaSanta was born and raised in Lynden, and has been a part of the musical community here since childhood. He studied with Jan Brink in Lynden and Dan Sabo in Bellingham before majoring in music at St. Olaf College in Minnesota. DallaSanta feels that Project Hope is an outstanding leader in meeting the basic needs of people in the Lynden area, and that Christmastime and the winter months in general underscore the importance of their work. His hope is that this concert not only will raise money for this important cause, but will raise awareness as well. The theme of this performance is “seasons.” In his own words, “It will reflect on the contrasts of nature that give the year a certain balance and wholeness.”Tickets can be purchased in person, by calling and online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2473420
