Bellingham theater puts limits on costumes for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’
Movie-goers planning to wear a costume for the opening of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will want to put some thought into what they bring to the theater as the long-awaited seventh installment of the series opens Thursday, Dec. 17.
Fans going to see latest “Star Wars” film won’t be allowed to bring masks, props, face paint or weapons into Regal Cinema movie theaters, including the Barkley Village 16, according to the company.
The restriction includes light sabers and face-obscuring hoods.
The first screenings of the movie in Bellingham begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at Regal Cinemas Barkley Village 16. According to Fandango.com, several of the Thursday screenings are sold out, but some tickets are available for weekend shows.
The Barkley movie theater will have several “Star Wars”-related promotions, including collector’s cups, popcorn tins and special tickets available for purchase.
