Wind warning issued for Saturday in Bellingham area

Anyone up for yet another windy day?

A high wind warning was issued for 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, for areas along the Western Washington coast including Bellingham.

The National Weather Service says to expect winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph, though they may not be that strong in Bellingham.

Saturated soil from all the recent rain plus the wind gusts could topple trees and take out power lines.
