Learn about region’s raptors in Bellingham classes in January

Sign up now for a series of classes about the region’s raptors and how to identify them.

Biologist Bud Anderson’s annual classes, which begin in Bellingham on Jan. 7, have been popular with beginners and seasoned birders alike. Anderson founded the Bow-based Falcon Research Group in 1985.

Classes will meet 7 to 9 p.m. on five consecutive Thursdays — Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28 and Feb. 4 —at Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship, 1207 Ellsworth St.

There also will be an all-day field trip, which will be arranged later.

The Whatcom Land Trust is sponsoring the classes. The cost is $175 per person.
