Crews plan to topple chipper bins on Bellingham waterfront
One of the most dramatic steps of the demolition of the digester building on Bellingham’s waterfront is planned for Monday morning, Nov. 23.
The plan is to topple green chipper bins that sit above the massive digester tanks some time after 10 a.m. Monday, according to Port of Bellingham staff.
The action will take only a few seconds once the contractor is ready and could be visible to anyone with a view of the waterfront.
