Historic Lairmont Manor in south Bellingham was the site of a special event in August to honor World War II veterans, and another party for veterans is planned there to mark Pearl Harbor Day, on Dec. 7, 2015.

On Aug. 17, 2015, about 50 WWII veterans were treated to lunch, music, speakers and a raffle at Lairmont, 405 Fieldston Road. About 80 others guests, including wives and other relatives, caregivers, and members of veterans organizations attended.

For Pearl Harbor Day, people 90 and older can attend to enjoy free lunch, with a small charge for other guests. There also will be music, carols and wartime songs.

Reservations are required at 360-647-1444 or info@lairmontmanor.com.
